Studio Handajuwana Zhu is a Jakarta-based architecture and interior design practice founded in 2026 by Natasya Handajuwana and Ziwei Zhu. With backgrounds spanning Japan, the Netherlands, and Italy, the studio brings an international perspective to the local context, shaped by experience across different scales, typologies, and forms of architecture and design.

The practice moves across architecture, interiors, and objects at various scales, exploring how people move, interact, and make a space their own. Familiar spaces become opportunities for unexpected uses, encounters, and ways of living. An experimental approach balances playfulness with purpose, creating spaces that feel open, engaging, and alive.

Each project begins with its own character. The site, the people, and the materials shape the direction, allowing the design to grow from its context. From the first idea to the final detail, the founders remain closely involved, creating spaces that are light in spirit, grounded in place, and made to endure.
